FFF: Friday Faves... (finally)

Hey :)

Okay, so although I said that I think I'm back on track with blogging, I haven't quite gotten back to Friday Faves.
Basically, I won't be able to go on and on about every single picture.
I may be awesome (hence the below picture), but I'm not perfect.

Anyway....
I did make a collage!

That llama is my phone's wallpaper. :)

For some reason, I really want a station wagon.
(with fake wood paneling and everything. no one understands.)

Also, I really love photo booths.

Oh, and it's true: reading makes you five times more attractive.

Unfortunately, that's all the time I have today to devote to blogging.
(The Office is on Netflix, and that beats a lot of things in a list of my priorities.)

I have a fun weekend planned, and I hope yours is fantastic.

xoxo,
Danielle

Friday faves

Happy Friday :)

Here are my favorites from this week.
Descriptions will be short and sweet!

(all pics found on Pinterest)

1.) It's a baby llama! As I've said before, I have no idea why I like llamas. I was first introduced to the idea of keeping them as pets when I watched Napoleon Dynamite.

2.) The print is quite small, but it says 'So many books to read'. It's quite true. There never seems to be enough time in the world. It does help though that sequels are rarely as good as the first book. With that in mind, I don't always feel the need to continue a series.

3.) How cute is this?? If a kid went trick-or-treating in this outfit and happened upon my doorstep, I would give him my whole bag of candy.

4.) These dresses are so gorgeous. :) Lately I've been attracted to sparkly and/or glittery things more than usual.

5.) Again, sparkles are very obsession-worthy these days.

6.) Guys, it's a polka dot house. Need I say more?

7.) Pancakes are my all time favorite food. I like the chocolate chip ones that my mom makes, but plain ones are even more delicious. It's kind of backwards, but it's true.

8.) I hardly ever say 'hello'. Normally I use 'hey' and 'hi' and 'aloha'. Sometimes I say 'bonjour', but that's very rare.

9.) This looks just like my grandma's cat! She's the total opposite of my cat, who is all white and never presses her paws against the window like a cutie.

10.) PB&J. :) It was kind of a small part of The Office, but do you remember when Kevin said that Jim and Pam would be good together, like PB&J? Pam Beesley and Jim? Yeah, I now think of that every time I see the sandwich.

And that, my friends, is how you end Friday Faves. (with The Office references)

In other news...
I volunteered at Vacation Bible School this week!
I thought for sure it would be boring, but it was actually really fun.
I got to see my friend Rachel and my aunt every day :)
Plus, I got tons of community service hours.

Also, I got to see Kaitlyn S. the other day!
We hung out in Downtown Winter Garden (my favorite town ever), and ate at the cutest French cafè.
It was a good day.

Other than that though, I haven't really done much.
(except watch The Office)

....which I'm actually going to do right now.

Until Monday.

Have a fantastic weekend :)

xoxo,
Danielle

Friday faves

Happy Friday :)

I don't have a lot of time, but here are my faves!

(1, 2, 3, 4, 5)

1. For some strange reason, I very much like balloons. I told my friend a while ago that I want lots of them at my birthday party so that I can let them go, kind of like a ceremony. It doesn't make sense, but it would be cool to take pictures of it.

2. This is too sweet! I knew I liked swans.

3. The smell of the ocean is the best. (aside from the smell of blueberries, that is.)

4. "I don't care if Sunday's blue. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday too. Thursday I don't care about you. It's Friday, I'm in love!" I love this song. I don't hear it on the radio that often, but it's better that way. It's never overplayed.

5. Italy and Paris are currently competing for the title of The Place I Want to Go Most. They're both gorgeous, but Italy is probably even more relaxed than Paris. Shopping in Paris would take a lot of energy, after all. However, I would gladly expend it.

I suppose that's all I have time for.
This is a terribly late post, you see.
I am happy to say that I was quite busy today. :)

May your weekend be filled with greatness.

xoxo,
Danielle

Friday Faves! (and teacups)

Happy June!

Isn't it nice that the first day of June is a Friday?
I think so.

(1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)

Goodness, seven favorites!

1) This will be my wedding dress one day. I adore corseted dresses, and this one is so gorgeous. I actually wanted to wear a corseted dress to prom, but it didn't work out. Oh well, there's always next year.

2) This is a true statement. I have been drinking so much tea lately. Blueberry tea was recently added to my collection!

3) Enjoying the little things is essential. The big things are often dramatic and sometimes exciting, but that doesn't mean that they're the most important.

4) Hot chocolate. I told you I was craving Winter, right? Well the way I see it, hot chocolate is a pretty good reason to crave cold weather of any kind.

5) I try so hard to do this! Obviously I have flaws that I wouldn't wish upon any other person, but other than that... I wouldn't mind meeting me. (and I say that in the most humble way possible) ;)

6) This is such a good album! I mentioned their last album, Winter, in a previous post. Like Winter, Undercover takes some getting used to. However, after a couple of listens I absolutely love the songs. Jack and White have a very unique sound that can really grow on you.

7) How could I not add this? I mean, how often do you come across a lamb with this much energy?

Today I bought five teacups.
They are all fantastic.

(the red one has a matching saucer! and the teapot in the back is really a teapot and a teacup.)

(this one had to be used right away. It reminded me too much of Alice in Wonderland not to be used first.)

{I also very much like the dark blue one, as there's a pirate ship on it.}

As you can see, I went a little crazy in the dish section of Home Goods.
I was probably there for about three hours, although the connected Marshall's store probably had something to do with it.

What can I say?
I drink a lot of tea.

Um...
I suppose that's all for today.
There's another grad party tomorrow!
It's so nice to have senior friends. :)

Have a lovely first weekend of June, my dears.

xoxo,
Danielle

5/25/2012

Friday Faves! Today is Friday... isn't it?

My week has been slightly hectic, so I'll just skip to the good part.
:)

(all photos were found on Pinterest)

1) Ohmygosh, banana pancakes. (cue choir of angels). I'm pretty sure that nobody in the known universe loves breakfast food quite as much as I do. Pancakes are pretty much my number one favorite food. (although mangos are definitely up there. also peanut butter...)

2) Audrey Hepburn is my favorite actress. Yesterday I watched How to Steal a Million, and although her hair could have used some work (I'm assuming it was the style), the movie and her acting were excellent!
(of course.)
She's just so cool. :)

3) Teacups are definitely on my list of things to buy. In fact, I bought a polka dot one today. Unfortunately, it's on backorder until August. But hey, maybe it will come just in time for my birthday!

4) Hehehe. This is simply the cutest way to phrase "hey, i like you a lot". Just reading it makes me giggle.

5) How lovely is this scene?? I wish I could go to London. I mean come on. It's the perfect place to pretend you have a British accent.

6) Is this not the cutest picture of a kitten you have ever laid eyes on? I wish my cat was still this tiny! (and agreeable)
But alas, she is now old and somewhat fat.
And she meows...
All the time...
Like now.
(translation: she's still cute, but also annoying.)

Anywayyy...

I posted more this week than last week!! :D
I feel accomplished.

However, I must now leave you to enjoy your weekend.
(and what a wonderful weekend it shall be!)

xoxo,
Danielle

P.S., I am very much looking forward to a certain graduation party tomorrow. ;) It'll be great fun!

Sick Days/ Friday Faves/ Science Center

Friday Faves!!
(I'm on schedule this week) :)

(1, 2, 3, 4, 5) :

1) This is very true. However, the philosophy is often questioned by many. For instance, today I wore a skirt and my dad asked why in the world I would wear something nice on an ordinary day. True, I wasn't wearing it in order to be 'polite', but there's no great reason why I shouldn't wear something on a Friday that I would wear on a Sunday. Or... maybe it's a teenage girl thing. Either way, I love being well dressed, and that's a perfectly good reason to be exactly that.

2) This print is so adorable! I love the French-ness of it. I would actually buy this print and frame it. I'm not sure where I would put it, but I'm certain it would go perfectly somewhere in my room.

3) I want a Vespa in mint. I doubt any other person I know is as obsessed with European modes of transportation as I am. (although I could probably bike more)

4) In about six years, this will be me. (hopefully I'm half as gorgeous as the majority of the woman in this picture). I will have successfully become an event planner, meaning that I will attend glamorous soirees that require evening gowns and a dashing date. (who, by the way, happens to be my Prince.)

{Oh, I haven't told you about my Prince? Well that's probably because I haven't met him yet.
It's nearly impossible in high school.
There's a list of qualities that he has.
(these qualities have accumulated over the years.)
If I find time in my weekend, perhaps I'll describe him to you. :)}

5) This depicts my ideal day off. It also reminds me that I need to buy new books and teacups (which I will hand wash with care). I love that Florida summers are rainy in the afternoons. They make the objects in this picture essential, and they're really all you need on rainy days except perhaps cute rain boots. (Also, old books are just really charming.)

I will be the first to admit that I ought to blog much more than I do.
Unfortunately, sickness came at a most inconvenient time and I was unable to blog from Sunday to Wednesday.
As Miranda from The Devil Wears Prada would say, I was 'an incubus of viral plague'.
(Basically I had a stomach bug, followed by a few days of horrible vertigo.)

Other than that, though...

my week was fairly good.

On Thursday, I went to the Orlando Science Center
Although it wasn't quite as exciting as it used to be,
(and we're talking elementary school)
it was still pretty cool.
I took pictures.

Obviously, I was a fan of the dinosaur exhibit. (always have been)

I probably looked like an idiot spinning this around to get the 'eye of the storm' effect.

I went into the anatomy exhibit.
I took a picture.
I walked right back out.
I am not destined to become a nurse.
Also, I am dreading Anatomy class.

My favorite part of the whole thing!! I'd use it as a giant, glamorous nightlight.

It's a perfect little world. :)

This reminded me too much of Alice in Wonderland to not take a picture. Seriously, this was too cool.

Yes, they had baby crocodiles!

We watched a documentary on dolphins in a really rare dome-like theater. It was pretty cool.

And this was the stage in the very empty theater at the back of the building. I'm not sure if I was even supposed to be there.

So there you have it!
My whole week in one post.
Hopefully I'll be able to post more often.
I really do love blogging.

Until next time, my dears.

xoxo,
Danielle

5/12/2012

Fri-- oh, Saturday Faves ;)

I know, I know!

I missed Friday Faves.

In my defense, yesterday was the first day of Summer break.

Therefore, I didn't do much of anything.

This is my attempt to make up for yesterday.

(how's six favorites instead of four? I included mouthwatering pictures of food to make you feel like you haven't eaten in days.)

(13, 5, 6)
2 and 4 were found on Pinterest.

1) I have a shirt like this and I wear it all the time. It's usually the first item of clothing to be worn after I do laundry. And it goes perfectly with white shorts!

2) This print is so cool. Basically, it describes everything summer. Can you feel the beach yet?

3) PANCAKES. As many of you already know, all of my favorite foods (with the exception of pasta) can be categorized as breakfast foods. I am also very inclined to eat fruit on a daily, if not hourly, basis. Any kind of berry is fine with me. :)

4) Ants on a log! I used to eat these all the time in my elementary days. Actually, I still eat them every now and then. Good times.

5) Ohmygosh, does this not make you want to eat french toast every day of your life?? I have got to make this very soon. (I would make it tomorrow, but my mom prefers bacon and eggs.) ;)

6) This skirt is so gorgeous. I'm not positive that I would wear it, but the detail is amazing! I can't imagine sewing all of those flowers. But then again, I'm no seamstress. Regardless, whoever designed it was a genius.

See? That sort of made up for yesterday. :)

Well, I suppose that concludes my excessive raving about things that have caught my eye this week.

I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!

xoxo,
Danielle

FRIDAY FAVES

I adore Fridays.

To celebrate, I have compiled photos of my week's favorite things.
(otherwise known as Friday Faves)
:)

(1, 2, 3, 4)

1) Cinnamon roll cupcakes. How absolutely delicious would these be in the morning?? (I am not at all opposed to cupcakes in the morning.)

2) If I had a dog, this is exactly how I would dress him. He is just stylin'. ;)

3) I love flowers wrapped in paper and tied with ribbons or twine. It's a weird concept, but I do love it! Also, that sweater looks so comfy. It just makes this picture even more charming.

4) If I owned these shoes, I would either wear them constantly or put them on a pedestal for display. They're that spectacular.

As you can see, I've been crazy about stripes! (similar to the way Holly Golightly was "crazy about Tiffany's". I even thought the words in her voice.)

So... I went shopping recently!

Guys...

I got green shorts.

:D
(I'm not excited or anything)

Also, I got tons of polka dots!

(and some things for Hannah Myraun) :)

Okay, I have got to get back to the schedule!
SATs tomorrow. >.<

I hope your week was lovely, and I'm so sorry that I couldn't post more. C'est la vie!

xoxo,
Danielle

Friday Faves

Hi guys :)

I have just enough time between work and homework and other little things to take part in the most exciting part of my week:
Friday Faves!

(1, 2, 4)

3 was found on Pinterest and had no follow-through link.

1) This is such a cool painting. I wish I could paint like that. I'll get started on it as soon as I move to my imaginary island, where there are ideal subjects.

2) How cute is this picture?? I've had it on my computer for a while, but just now thought of adding it to the Faves. It's just super adorable.

3) This is perfect. It makes me wish that I lived somewhere other than Florida, where mountains were aloud to be bigger than what Northerners consider hills. If I could, I would definitely live on a ranch somewhere. I can't quite place why, but that's what this picture reminds me of.

4) I've talked about this song before (and how my mom used to sing it to me), but pictures of it just keep popping up! Maybe posting it eight thousand times will help me to remember it when I'm in my 90's and have amnesia. (as hard as you try, you can't stop old age.)

Well, I suppose I'd better get back to my homework.

By the way, I'm progressing very well at PS. :) I really love it there. I can't think of a better boss for my first job.

Wow, I think it's abnormal to crave as much pasta as I do every day.
It's all I want to eat.
(I don't though, and my body thanks me.)

Also, please, please pray for my friend Kaitlyn. She recently had her appendix removed and is recovering well, but still needs prayer!
Thank you :)

Oh yeah, back to work.

Until Monday, my friends!

xoxo,
Danielle

Friday Faves

Told you I'd be back. :)

Okay, Friday faves! Don't you just love 'em?

 (1, 2, 3, 4)

1) I've been looking for a denim jacket, seeing as the one I've been wearing is just shaped strangely. It looks too big at some angles, but that's just the way it's made! The one pictured, however, looks like it would fit perfectly.

2) How cute are these giraffes? This picture is simply adorable, and I couldn't help adding it to the list. Did you know that giraffes' tongues are really clean because they eat so many leaves? (No, that should not count as incentive for you to eat leaves.)

3) Pizza and pasta are two things I have been absolutely CRAVING this week. This pizza looks like it would satisfy said craving, but not also make me feel like I drank a bottle of grease. The green probably has something to do with it.

4) This is a very inspirational quote. Living by it wouldn't be such a bad idea, if you catch my drift. In general, it's important to remain positive and to really look for the best in both people and situations.

By the way, Bobby stopped by to see me at work today! (obviously, the smoothies had nothing to do with the visit.) ;) It was a welcome surprise, and I encourage you all to please do the same!

Well my dears, I'm off to a play. My sisters are in our school's performance of Beauty and the Beast, and I'm sure the casts' hard work at rehearsals will pay off.

Until Monday!

xoxo,
Danielle

P.S., I'm using a new software for my collages, seeing as Picnik shut down. :( If any of you fellow Picnik users are wondering where in the world you're supposed to go to add dinosaur stickers or clone out that thing on the wall, I use PicMonkey to do simple editing and Picture Collage Maker for... well, collages. I actually like PCM better than Picnik! Hope that helps. :)

4/13/2012

Is it Friday already?

It's Friday the 13th!

Gosh, this week has blown by. So much to do!

Despite my hectic week, I wouldn't miss Friday Faves for the world.

(1, 2, 3, 4)

1) I just love this print. The colors are gorgeous, and the scene, of course, is perfect. If I had a Paris themed room, this would definitely be a must-have.

2) Lately I've been on the hunt for tan wedges, and these are close to what I want (less buckles, lighter shade... small alterations.). I found some about a week ago that were almost exactly what I'm looking for, but there was a reason they were on clearance (broken buckle strap loop thingy). I suppose I'll just have to keep looking!

3) How perfect is this picture? The tart looks delicious (I love all berries, by the way). I might have to make it if I come across a lazy day. There is no end to what you'll find on Pinterest. I have a whole board for food.

4) THIS. SHOW. If you haven't watched it, you're missing out. I can't help laughing continuously throughout the episodes. Re-runs are on TBS a lot, and the more current episodes can be found here. My favorite character is Sheldon. He's hilarious.

By the way, my first day at Planet Smoothie went well! I am now able to work the cash register. Currently, I'm working on the memorization of what smoothies go under which category. I made flash cards.

Well, I suppose that's it for today. If all goes as planned, I should have a party to tell you about come Monday.

Have a fantastic weekend. :)

xoxo,
Danielle

Friday Faves

It's Friday! How cool is that?

So a few things I've been loving recently...

(1, 2, 4) -- (3 is from Pinterest... with no link.)

1) This is so true. Yesterday I got hopelessly lost trying to get to Dr. Phillip's and there was nothing I wanted more than to just go home! I was immensely glad when I pulled into my driveway.

2) How cool are these eggs?? It's such a good idea to do this instead of dying them traditionally(although that's also cool). The pattern on this specific egg is super cute.

3) Okay, so obviously I'm way too old mature to wear this myself, but how adorable is that bathing suit? And that pose. Ahhh, it's killing me! Perhaps I should find this for Hannah?

4) This looks so incredibly yummy! I love strawberry shortcake, and to apply that to cookies is just... oh, my! I really want to make these.

  • Oh yeah...
I got a job!! (my first one, guys!)

I start Wednesday. Fingers crossed that I don't completely botch the whole experience. (I'm not nervous or anything.)

  • By the way, here are a few finds from my latest Pinterest rampage:
(I stalked my own Pinterest profile for old pins and rediscovered these)

I may have a few hundred pins. But c'mon! Who can resist sharing a picture of lemon poppyseed muffins? Honestly, they're too good.

Well, that's all for today, my lovelies.
Have a great Easter weekend!

xoxo,
Danielle

P.S., is anyone else going to the Easter picnic tomorrow at Camp Down? (in Windermere. I think it's been renamed.) If you'd like to come, it's at 11:30. :)

3/30/2012

Friday Faves

Oh, Friday...

  • I have some faves for you. :)

(1, 2, 3, 4)

1) This is the perfect print! I found it on Pinterest (which led me to Tumblr). I take naps because when I wake up, the world is a better place. It just helps, especially when you're able to wake up naturally. (No alarm clocks)

2) Andrew Belle is possibly one of the best singers I have ever heard. The lyrics are so sweet, and the sound is just really relaxing. I've also been listening to really old songs like Rockin' Robin and Good Mornin'.

3) Waffles are the key to a yummy breakfast. Add blueberries, and you're set. I love the shape of these. Too cute!

4) Polka dots are very popular this season, and thank goodness! Personally, I've always liked polka dots. These pants are fantastic! It helps that they're from Anthro. :)

  • By the way, I did yoga this morning!
I've been trying to start, but it's strangely difficult to find the time for things that are actually good for you.
Nevertheless, my semi-health kick has begun. (I can't completely avoid cake with all of these birthdays coming up!)

Here's to a lovely Friday, and a fantastic weekend. :)

xoxo,
Danielle

Make-up post/ Friday Faves

I know, I know!

You're mad because I haven't blogged. All week.
Believe me, I am also going through blogger withdrawal. Unfortunately, it happens to be very difficult to develop a compilation of acceptable photos from other peoples' memory cards. (You know who you are. -- cue menacing stare.)

But I'll get them eventually. :)

Regardless, I couldn't just skip an entire week of blogging!

So starting with the weekend... (DN '12!)

Oh my goodness! I had the best time at Disciple Now. Honestly, I had no idea how fun a church event could be. I could go on and on, but let's just skip to the pictures.

(Although I must say: the people I met and caught up with at DN were probably some of the best people I have met in a very long time.)

(Left to right in back: Ciera, Rachel B., me, Stephanie, Hayley, Rachel S., Lori
Left to right in front: Dahlia, Kaitlyn, Abby)

Below: Jesse(our student pastor) and Donna Dumaine(assistant to the student pastor and general church staff and body). They, along with the rest of our very cool leaders, dressed up as gangsters for the first night, in accordance with the Revolution theme.

(Note: above pictures were taken by various people)

Later on (Sunday):

I went to the Myrauns after DN! Every time I visit them, whatever joy I left behind comes back and finds me.

*Pictures will be uploaded ASAP.* I myself am waiting on them impatiently. (Aunt Becky has them... *ahem*)

Monday:

Thankfully, my super-cool-you-wish-you-attended school gave us Monday off. :)

Mom, my sisters, and I got pedicures! Magic Nails Salon and Day Spa is the best place for pedicures I have ever been to.

The rest of the day was spent mostly watching Seinfeld and catching up on much-needed rest.

Tuesday:

Tuesday it was school as usual. Isn't it just the worst when you have to even think about school the day after a wonderful break?

Fortunately, some students had the bright idea of playing basketball during lunch. Some people should really play for our team. (They're quite good.)

The last picture is my favorite.

Wednesday:

Wednesday I went to life group. We watched the seniors' videos from the DN scavenger hunt. They were so very funny! Someone ended up chewing the earth worm. (Biting down wasn't required.)

Thursday:

Thursday was pretty average. Oh, except that after math class we practiced baseball with Paul and then I went out and got shoes. :) (by the way, Paul throws a mean knuckle ball.)

*Pictures of school will be up soon.*

Also, on a side note: my alarm clock has been on my floor for a very long time. It somehow fell behind my dresser and landed exactly like this when I tried to hit the snooze button a while ago. I haven't moved it because that would mean unplugging it and going through the tedious process of resetting the time. Why bother?

By the way, check out this recipe! I have a very strong desire to make it when the weather gets warmer.

(courtesy of Lemon Fire Brigade)

Grapefruit Pomegranate Champagne Sorbet
Makes 1 quart

2 1/2 cup grapefruit juice, freshly squeezed, strained, no pulp
1/2 cup pomegranate juice, freshly squeezed, strained
1/2 cup sugar + 2 tb
1/2 cup champagne, quality does not matter
2 tb lemon juice freshly squeezed

Squeeze grapefruits, strain for pulp, and reserve liquid.
Place a fine mesh sieve strainer over an appropriately sized bowl. Place the pomegranate seeds in the strainer and crush them of their juices, just until there’s not a drop remaining. Discard or save pulp and seeds. Reserve juice.
In a medium-sized sauce pot, combine 1 cup of grapefruit juice with the sugar and heat until completely dissolved. Remove from heat, and add the remaining juices and champagne. Refrigerate until thoroughly cool.
Add mixture to ice cream maker, freeze and churn for 20-25 minutes, just until sorbet comes together.
Transfer mixture into desired serving container and freeze for at least 6 hours.

By the way (again), this is practically the key to positivity!

Good philosophy, eh?

Friday Faves!

It's been so long...

(1234)

1) This print is so cute. :) I love the song it's based off of! I would hang this in my room if I could.

2) I want this swimsuit! Lately I've been very drawn to green, and this suit would compliment my sandals perfectly.

3) Mac & cheese is not just for kids. I would eat it all day, every day if I had the patience to sit there and wait for the pasta to boil.

4) Did you know that Pandora has comedy stations? I only recently discovered this, and have been listening to Brian Regan, Jim Gaffigan, and... (drumroll) Jerry Seinfeld! (He's my favorite) ;) I've also been listening to the various albums of Maroon 5.

Well, that concludes this post.

Yes, it's a bit disorganized and haphazard, but I posted! :) This can now go down in history as the longest post on my blog.

Stay tuned for pictures!

xoxo,
Danielle

P.S., my friend Kaitlyn (pictured above in DN pics) has started a blog! As soon as I get the link, I'll post it. :)
